March 22, 1999 On February 24, 1999,
The Choice Inc. a small women owned staffing company in Washington, DC, and Whitman Walker Clinic together launched the "Temps for a Cure" program at the Clinic's first quarterly Development Committee meeting. This program is truly unique due not only to the level of financial giving by The Choice Inc., but also because of the innovative partnership The Choice Inc. and Whitman-Walker clinic have developed. In addition to the $50,000 pledged donation, this program will potentially raise more than $100,000 in its first year through community and business participation. The Choice Inc. has been in business in the Washington, DC area for over 15 years and is eager to demonstrate its appreciation to the gay and lesbian community for its role in the company's success. The Board of Directors of The Choice Inc. has invited the Whitman-Walker Clinic to join them in their endeavor to support the far-reaching and broad range of valuable medical and treatment services the Clinic provides to the community.

The Choice Inc. provides staffing solutions on a supplemental (temporary), and full-time (permanent or regular) basis as well as employee leasing, payrolling and contracting. The Choice Inc. will be donating the annual base salary of one salesperson and enhancing this contribution through a "commission" or donation structure. When a Clinic supporter refers a client to The Choice Inc., the Whitman-Walker Clinic receives the commission on that referral. Additionally, for each candidate recruited and placed on assignment by The Choice Inc., who indicates that they heard about the company or the "Temps for a Cure" program through their association with Whitman-Walker Clinic, The Choice Inc. will donate $25 to the Clinic. The amount of the monthly donation, commissions and associate bonuses, is directly correlated to the success of the program. Therefore, Whitman-Walker Clinic encourages all of its friends to support this program with The Choice Inc.

The Choice Inc. is also partnering with the Vocational Rehabilitation Program at the Max Robinson Center providing on- and off-site vocational training and job placement services for clients. The Choice Inc. is investing a tremendous amount of resources to education the public and Whitman-Walker Clinic supporters about its "Temps for a Cure" program. For questions regarding the program please call The Choice Inc. at (202) 408-1700 or visit their web site at www.thechoiceinc.com.
